He didn't specify which morning. He might have meant the morning of Dec 16.jdaw1 wrote:?djewesbury wrote:I will follow this up in the morning.
Hopefully not later than December 16.djewesbury wrote:I didn't have a chance to follow up earlier and I am now off sick with a migraine. Please feel free to pursue; or I will at a later date.

Did you request that O70 and Ch94 be decanted? Did you explain that ‘we’ will be bringing a bottle of D70?djewesbury wrote:Table for four on the 16th at 6 PM booked
Oh Ye of little faith. I will hopefully exceed your expectations.jdaw1 wrote:Updated draft of the placemats.
- DRT’s punishment bottle (his punishment, our drinking) is to be a Dow 1970.

Exceed the expectations and fall short of the magic number.DRT wrote:Oh Ye of little faith. I will hopefully exceed your expectations.jdaw1 wrote:Updated draft of the placemats.

Good, but you’ll need to much better than that to be under 16st 5 lb.DRT wrote:Oh Ye of little faith. I will hopefully exceed your expectations.
Presumably now that we have a table booked, and can therefore have something to eat, adding a single bottle with corkage (if requested) can be negotiated on the night?jdaw1 wrote:Did you request that O70 and Ch94 be decanted? I haven't had a chance to ring back with order details (e.g. the O70 and Ch94) and I presumed that they wouldn't want to open and decant these on the basis of a booking from a customer they've never heard of before. I figured they'd need payment up front for the bottles. I thought that perhaps I might negotiate this in person nearer the time. And while doing that I could also raise the subject of the corkage for the D70.flash_uk wrote:Presumably now that we have a table booked, and can therefore have something to eat, adding a single bottle with corkage (if requested) can be negotiated on the night?jdaw1 wrote:Did you request that O70 and Ch94 be decanted? A bottle of 1970 VP will attend this tasting. If I qualify for attendance I will drink it with you. If I don't, you will all drink it without me.
I was planning to bring a note from my Mum.djewesbury wrote:It occurs to me that since this is classified under 'informal Christmas drinks', self-certification is sufficient from DRT. Derek, can we trust you to assure us that you will be able to join us?

A little late, for which I apologise, but might I suggest that you use small sticky labels if space will be tight? We find these work well at the Bell, so why not at the B&F?djewesbury wrote:I think we shall have to manage without; or perhaps an A5?jdaw1 wrote:All: will placemats be needed?

There is now a better than 50% chance that I will be able to be there. If I can, I will buy the Ck63 off the list.jdaw1 wrote:Now five people: −JDAW. Paperwork updated. Sorry — I wanted to try the D70.
