DRT wrote:Yes. And a scallops and bacon (usually available as a main) starter option would be good.
Was this asked for?

If so and if met with a positive response I will have scallops and bacon followed by sirloin steak (medium-rare) with skinny chips (preferred) or big fat chips (more likely).

If scallops not available I will have the parfait to start, please.

Only if it English bottled please. There is a theme for the second half of the tasting!

Please could I have smoked salmon to start followed by a main of grilled sirloin (medium rare) with chips (skinny preferred but hand cut acceptable) and tomato with an extra side order of caramelised onion gravy.

Thank you.

Not on a diet. Never been disappointed with the way a medium rare steak has been cooked at B&F but often with the black and blue.

It's the THIRD part of the tasting, only for very end! Part 1 = F63, Part 2 = EB, Part 3 = Axel :)
(please let him bring it for the end, I haven't tried it and would love to!)

Oh all right then. We'll make this a tasting in three halves.

Please could I have the Duck liver parfait with toast as starter and the chicken supreme as main with a side of creamed spinach. Thank you :CC0033:

No “chicken supreme” on menu. You have been ordered “Grilled free-range chicken breast with slow braised chorizo and red peppers”.

Dont want to bring Vintage Port as I will be travelling on the day... Its either the Warre 1937 or I would adopt? Your choice.

I have been outvoted by the attendees (at least all of those called Phil). We will be having a third flight of ports on June 15th, the third flight being 1937 colheitas.

Hi
sorry for the delay - food order
- Goats cheese salad
- Steak medium rare.

I notice that I am down to bring a F63 from the same pipe as yours. I can do this or if you want some more variety for the second half - I can substitute this with a Butler Nephew 55.

Let me know

Cheers

Tony

Awaiting organiser's judgement (AHB), but you might like to preempt by answering his perhaps likely response of "Is it English Bottled?"

I'm assuming the BN55 will be English bottled, in which case please bring that. I think we'll have had our fill of F63!

I expect BN55 will be very nice indeed if it follows the path of the previous BN bottles I have tasted!

Having discovered my proposed GC70 is actually Oporto-bottled, I can now offer a Warre '63 instead. Julian - apologies for the placemat hassles and threads already created!

Yes me too. I could bring both the W63 and the GC70, but permission required from the master.

I am hereby: mounting a temporary coup; declaring myself Master of All I Can Behold; accepting your utterly sensible suggestion; and then resigning Mastership in favour of Alex.

Of course, Alex will over-rule, in which case it could appear as a ‘side drink’ not officially part of the tasting.

Yes, I’m thirsty.

Sirs (and Madam)

I have encountered a small issue with the BN55 - in that I could not find it!

Can I respectfully offer another 55 - A Mackenzie bottled by J Harvey and Sons Bristol. Sorry!!!

I am looking forward to this evening - I may be a little late if todays auction overruns. If this is the case I will pass my bottle to Dia to bring in.
