I would prefer not to reveal as mine is a novelty as much as (hopefully) pleasant drinking.

And it allows me to change my mind at the last minute.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

I would like to still come along, but until I move to Dorset cash flow is all tied up, so I would need to not have the dinner and just contribute to service. If that is okay, then I could offer a Niepoort 2005 as a comparison bottle or find something older if prefered. If you would rather have the space for a full participant, I totally understand and free up my seat.

More than happy to bring something along, how about a Passadouro 92 or 00 or if preferred a Ni 00?

You’re in. No need for the Niepoort 2005, but if you have a spare Niepoort that matches the vintages of one of the Broadbents I would accept that.

We have enough. One more, either a Ni matching a Bb, or something with age, would be welcome but is not necessary.

And of printing of the placemats?

Thank you.

• Heirloom tomato risotto, roast carrots, lemon, parsley V

I should be able to print the placemats, but will also not be super early (I don't think, at the moment).

Please could I have no starter, sirloin steak (medium rare) with a bearnaise sauce.

What's a gratin potato and can I have chips instead?

Please may my choices, below, be added to the food order:

Starter - none.

Main - Gammon with everything including black pudding. Chips are preferred to skinny fries.

Savoury - the “Super extra cheesy plus plus more cheesy Welsh rarebit”, if possible.

Thanks,

Wrong starter; but probably irrelevant if I can't make it.

For dinner Irayna would like Smoked Salmon starter; 220g sirloin (medium rare) as main and (normal) Welsh Rarebit for savoury, no dessert.

My bottle of Passadouro 92 is at the B&F as I will be travelling on Wednesday, I was planning to ask B&F to decant in the morning unless others disagree or would prefer to decant it latter with the others?

Message from Bartholomew Broadbent to members of TPF attending tomorrow's tasting:
Bartholomew Broadbent wrote:I’m looking forward to the Broadbent Port Tasting tomorrow. Tomorrow happens to be the first day that my father’s new book, Wine Tasting goes on sale. I have the opportunity to pick up copies of them tonight. They are 25 pounds each. Would any of you want to buy it? If so, I could bring them to the tasting. You’d need to bring cash or a cheque. Let me know at bbroadbent@broadbent.com I look forward to seeing you. Bartholomew

I'm OK. I remembered to print - and I remembered to over-ride the standard printer setting we have here of 2-sheets per page, double sided.
