And I still can’t attend and I am still willing to provide an ‘83 if anyone wants to adopt it. Maybe they can provide me with an ‘85 assuming I will make it over for that tasting.

First posed has been updated with reconfirm actions. Can those still to do so please action. Currently, in terms of bottles, we are missing: 55, 60 (although there is one upcoming at auction that I am hoping to secure), 83 (see above post), 91 (was available to buy at reasonable cost from BBR-not checked recently) and 00.

Had a quick check, BBR don't appear to have the 1991 available.

Ian - I'm putting together my drinking list for 2022 to move bottles I want to open next from storage to home, or from the back of the storage cabinet to the front. Have you planned which wines you would like which people to provide for our tasting at Berry's? If you can let me know what you'd like me to supply, I can make sure I have it on hand when it's needed (for the moment I will plan on providing the 1963 and offering the 1997 for someone else to adopt). Thanks.
From the front page the summary is:
1960 -
1963 - AHB, CPR
1966 - PW
1970 - TC
1975 - NAC
1977 - AHB, CPR, GEAG
1980 - CPR
1983 - PW
1985 - AHB, CPR
1991 -
1994 - hadge
1997 - AHB (magnum)
2000 - AHB (half)
2003 -

Any updates on reconfirmations and if this is happening… Boris allowing of course. I am only a reserve at the moment but have an exam in London the next evening and need to look at Travel plans etc. so any updates on the event status would be appreciated.

OK, apologies for the radio silence but I have this week received confirmation that this tasting is still on with details as per my previous post. This means a cost of £20 per head for which, besides the surroundings, we will receive some BBR wine plus some food akin to what is served at the Port Walks (so cheese primarily). We will thus need to think about decampIng elsewhere afterwards if we wish to supper (suggestions/comments invited). Start time will be 6pm for 6.30 pm and so an expected finishing time of no later than 8.30 pm.
I will allocate bottles shortly and would then ask that those needing to adopt contact those with the requisite bottles directly. I would hope to try and avoid too much in the way of reapportioning bottle costs but if needs be so be it.

If we have a reasonable idea of numbers then I could try and get a table across the road at 67 Pall Mall in the Lounge. Alternatively we can wing it and just go upstairs (not bookable).

First post now edited to include proposed bottle allocations. The eagle-eyed among you will notice that we appear to be currently short of a 2000 and so if anyone has a bottle, this is the final call to come forward. As a precaution I have asked BBR whether they have a bottle for potential group purchase. You will also note that even with its inclusion, there are 13 bottles different bottles in all, although with a 1997 mag we have 14 in terms of juice by volume. If there any queries regarding bottle allocations could people let me know? I will leave it those requiring to adopt to contact those with bottles available. If people do feel that financial reconciliation is required for the bottles being provided, I can undertake.
More details on the arrangements will follow.

Clearly missed that earlier post as well then! Means that we also have a regular bottle of the 97 available as well as the mag, but currently am still inclined to go for the latter.

Further info on this tasting (that also addresses a couple of previous posts):
-6pm for 6.30 pm start. Close at 8.30 pm
-enter via 'old' shop at 3 St James'Street Street
-tasting will be split across the General office dining and tasting room but with connecting doors (drawing room will also be available)
-BBR aperitif (Cremant de Limoux & Berrys' White Burgundy) 'and some after'
-Cheese Gougeres and x2 other cheeses plus bread
-water and waiting staff supplied
-wine to be brought double-decanted (Neil, they have said 'but please advise otherwise ')
And the good news is that they managed to secure a bottle of the 2000 from a customer (for £75), which may or may not require a group purchase.
