I may be able to do so - need to confirm work plans for Tuesday, but if that could involve me working in London, then very possible. Will confirm.

Thank you Martin for organising a very enjoyable evening. Once again I failed to identify that 2 glasses of port came from the same bottle :(!

That looks like a really fun lineup, Martin. I know it was a blind tasting, but did anyone figure out during the course of the tasting that they were drinking primarily older LBV's?

As an aside, I see that the Pocas LBV did very well. Pocas not only makes very good TWAIOA and Colheitas, but their LBV's are top notch as well. I had their 1994 LBV last year and it's one of the best LBV's I've had (topped only by the 1995 Andresen and 1995 Smith Woodhouse). Their 2011 LBV is no slouch either.

Chaos pretty much existed but I have to say I was less than helpful when questioned ... Still a good night all round

Chaos in this instance could absolutely be fun. I'm glad to hear that it was a good time, but jealous that I don't live in the UK to attend all of these tastings.

Yeah, and that particular 1994 Poças LBV that you got to taste last year was only a "good" but not "great" showing. I have an empty 1994 Poças LBV on my trophy shelf from many years ago, because at the time that I tasted it I scored it a couple of points higher than I'd ever scored an LBV before. It's possible that some other LBV has matched that score by now, but I doubt it has ever been beaten.

Happy to see the 1996 do well in this tasting! 3rd overall, if I scanned the scores correctly?

Question: how did the 1999 Heredias and 1994 Fonseca score negative points?

On this occasion people had the chance to give there 6 points and up to -3 if they really did not like something
