Table for 8 has been booked at the Crusting Pipe for 6pm to close of business on Wednesday 20th May.

Corkage confirmed as £10 per bottle. 3 course menu for £18 will be available to us and 64 glasses will be at our disposal.

Given that there will be 8 of us, we will be in the back somewhere.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

Who are the 8? Not that many listed on first post.

It's the six who are named, plus either space for all the glasses we use or space for one or two others to join us. If you can think of someone you'd like to invite, then please feel free.

Great. Thanks for making the booking. I'll probably arrive at about quarter-past with the placemats; I hope that's ok (from previous experience we haven't usually made too punctual a start!).

I shall probably see you nearer 7pm tomorrow. Bottle stood up last night. Will be decanted tonight and served blind tomorrow! Looking forward to it. Must remember my little bottles!

I am also aiming to be at TCP about 7pm or slightly before. I suggest that as soon as enough of us have arrived, we order dinner.

My bag is rather heavy today!

Hang on - Ben posts at 4.56 in the morning and then Alex posts at 4.29 a.m. the next day..

There's early rising and early rising...

Will have two bottles tonight, but one is not very promising..
