Your 07:30 will be of very little interest to this New York resident. I’ll check my email at about 8am my time, being 1pm yours, and act as instructed.

Derek,
Can you bring your spare Bacofoil with you to the pub on Wednesday? I've run out and probably won't have the chance to buy some between now and the Crusting Pipe.
Thanks,
Alex

I am delighted to report that the tasting notes and place mats printed off beautifully, with the port place mats scaling up extremely well onto A3. In fact, we could probably have got everything onto the A3 place mats because the glass circles scaled up so well!
Thanks Julian.
Alex
No scaling needed.

One version of the placematsmats are A3;
one in A4. No scaling needed.
Still, if everything is OK, no further action from me. Enjoy.

Dont forget to try a 'Dark & Smooth'. I'd leave the Cheeky Vimto's to us youngsters!

The tinfoil has been purchased. I have 10 metres of it so anyone who needs some, it's yours
I have to confess I did feel slightly suspicious walking into a fairly posh London hotel lobby with a bottle of Rioja in one hand and a pack of tinfoil in the other. I'm sure some strange things have happened here but I can't help thinking that the staff on Reception will be postulating about the need for tinfoil in a single occupancy hotel bedroom
Incidentally, I am only drinking the Rioja because I need the empty bottle to use as a decanter in the morning

Have just decanted my unknown '55 - and the cork has revealed all.
It is in fact a....
...well, I'll let you guess first!
Tom
PS: Will try to make it to Covent garden by 7.00, but I have a 40ft container from China arriving this afternoon, and I'm short of crew to unload..
..perfect timing

A great evening. Some very nice ports were served blind with not many guessing correctly. The Fonseca 77 and Dow's 80 were extremly good. A couple of disappointments with off bottles but so many were served it did not detract from the fun.
Surprise of the night was Cruz VP 1989 - there long debates about which major house this one was before Alex removed the tinfoil
I didn't take notes - I think only AHB did but he is off to Munich today so may not post them for a while.
The placemats were very useful.
