I'd be fine with either the Level 1 or the Level 2. Slight preference for the Level 2 so that I can get a filet mignon, but I'm sure the Level 1's hangar steak is also excellent.

I think we will be better off with the private room because it will give us more peace and quiet to savor the wines, but I will go with the flow, so to speak. As to menu, whatever other people decide is fine with me.

I too am happy to go with the flow, to reserve the room, I hope i didn't over step my bounds and tell the restaurant that we were aiming for the 68$/person pre fixe.

I think this seems suitable, given the quality of the tasting. Pre fixe @ 68/per (before tax and tip) comes to ~90 after tax/tip. If that includes the private room, then let's lock it in.
If i remember correctly, harry's bacon was pretty popular; we may want to ask if they'd allow us the $4/pp upgrade (from tier 3) if the table gets rowdy for bacon.

Ooh, is that the batter-dipped and deep fried stuff? Yeah, I'd love to try some of that!

differentdave: do bring an extra $180 to the tasting, to give to one of your hosts, that being my loss caused by your no-notice no-apology non-attendance on

I could have sworn that I mailed those funds to you to you at your apartment in NYC shortly after you raised this issue, however if you are saying that you did not receive these funds then I will make sure I make it right.

Thank you. Please give $185 to SushiNorth.
SushiNorth: the money is to be used to subsidise

tastings, in whatever manner you think fair and sensible.

I received a text message from g-man message this morning:
"Hey harrys is back on but its at 6pm instead can u post if able?"
I texted him back say that 6pm at Harry's would be fine and that I'd also post to that effect. So here I am, posting. Though since there's nothing here indicating that there was ever any concern I'm not quite sure who the intended audience is for this post.
Nevertheless... posted.
