F77, decanted 13:45. Red centre, pink edge, 50% opaque. Palate of soft red cherry, great size, and full weight. Also silky soft. It improved during the evening, gaining weight and size. I voted it equal-WOTN, with the T66 and Cr70.
Decanted 5 hours, 35% opacity, red. Smooth start, heat then dryness mid palate and onwards. Red fruit, some tannin in the finish. The dryness had me guess D63.
An attractive red colour, mature but not bricking; 40% opaque. Lovely on the nose, soft and delightful, full of delicious fruit. Really nice, if a little restrained. Lovely on the palate with generous levels of fruit and a lively spiciness - lots of soft fruit and lively pepper. Dry and hot peppery finish; a great length of dry tannins and sweet strawberries with a delightful green leaf twist. Served blind this was guessed to be Dow 1977. 89/100.
Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.
2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports, except a good bottle of Fonseca 1927. Wow!
