I will be up for the next few hours polishing
this off. I decided that one of my remaining bottles of Offley 07 LBV would probably be sufficient so I will be polishing that off too.

Best of luck with that old chap.
Didn't we have a lovely time the day we went there?

It all worked out well. I finished piecing the talk together at 3am, arrived far too early this morning, felt far more nervous than I usually would, really enjoyed it and had great feedback.
The Offley was a little bitter, but sustained me. I found the chicory / bitter coffee notes a little off-putting but not sufficiently to deter me.
During my talk I opened a 1983 bottle of Robert Weil Kiedricher Gräfenberg Spätlese which was absolutely wonderful. Thanks Justin!

Pleased to hear it went well.
But was it a beautiful day and did you have lunch on the way for under a pound?

Unfortunately, on the way back I cuddled with Jack.

When interviewed a while back, Cathy Lesurf, who sang the song, confirmed that it was about Bangor in Wales.
Anyway, I think we need to start calling Dan 'Doc'

Phew; neither Jack Daniels, nor Derek with a new pet name.

It is unfortunate true that this is about the 'other' Bangor. But I've given up trying to correct Derek. He gets so sulky and just digs in his heels we should have a thread where forum members could post examples of Derek admitting he's wrong.
Doc.

Doc.
I didn't know there were two Bangors. Clearly I was wrong.
You see how easy it is, Danny?

You see, even by being wrong, you have to be right. *weeps into the upholstery of his Northern Irish Railways seat*

I had to highlight the post in case, expecting:
Clearly I was wrong. But not really. Don't tell him, but Daniel went to the wrong Bangor Castle, where they were too polite to tell him and he gave his lecture to the local Horticultural Society.
You see how easy it is, Danny?
