20% opaque; a mature reddish-pink. Slightly spirity nose, mixing redcurrants and junipers. Smooth and light bodied entry. Spirity and acidic on the mid palate with the spirit showing quite fiercely. Lightly fruited and sweet but starting to dry out. Spicy on the aftertaste, gentle but lasting although the juniper harshness never leaves. Served blind this was guessed to be Quinta do Noval 1975. 85/100. 27-Oct-15. 1½ hour decant.

This has some bottle variations now but that spirit does tend to protrude a bit regardless.

Mz67, originally ‘JDAW’. Red-orange, 25% opaque. Smooth, then too hot. Very orangey. Oleaginous. Far from great, but nonetheless quite good.
