See the attached link for RM's Christmas picks. Some very high scores indeed. I enjoy the warre's Otima 10yr old but not sure it is a 93 pointer... Or better than a Fonseca 85!?

In the spirit of Christmas I am prepared to swap any unwanted bottle, magnum or imperial of the 85 Fonseca for the equivalent quantity of Otima.

Otima 10 is pretty poor. The 20 is a bit better but way off in the QPR spectrum compared to most other 20 year old tawny's.
98 points For Ramos Pinto 20 year
The Taylors vintage and the bottle pic don't match, so I am not sure which they are actually referring to.
Me thinks he's trying to generate some buzz.... He owns a wine company in Portugal and, IMO as a result, he needs to step away from his wine reviewing job as the two don't co-mix very well when it comes to the objectivity department.

LOL at those ratings.
RP20 > Sandeman 30? LOL
RP20 > Duque de Braganca? LOL
Otima 10 > 90? LOL
F85 at 91? LOL
Some of those LBV ratings look questionable to me, too, but LBVs have been improving a lot lately so they're not necessarily laughable ratings.

And surely a sine qua non of a "top twenty" list is that it has twenty things on it. I count fourteen. Petty I know but really.

In general I've been less than impressed by Decanter's scores of late. Usually when New Zealand wines get discussed scores of 95 and 96 are thrown around as if it's nothing. I usually deduct around 5 points to get to a score I think is fair.
