Re: 2003 Vesuvio
90% opacity, deep red. Amazing port. Lovely chocolate mouthfeel, syrupy and smooth, great balance, soft tannins. One teeny weeny criticism would be a tiny lack of acidity.
Re: 2003 Vesuvio
V03 95% opacity. Lovely balance, and structure with some beef/meat coming through with the big berries and a great long finish. Once again this should be amazing once it matures.

Re: 2003 Vesuvio
The more I taste port from the 2003 vintage, the more impressed I become with the power and weight these have and their slow, stately progress towards maturity. I don't have enough from this vintage; it's a shame I'm not buying port any more since this would be one of my targets.
Deep red, hinting at late youth with a medium rim. Sweet red fruit and milk chocolate on the nose, beautifully perfumed. Sweet raspberry fruit and powerful cocoa tannins; a great mouthful bringing many layers of flavour and texture. Huge aftertaste that fills the mouth, chewy and very long lasting. 94/100.

Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.
2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports.

V03. 100% opaque. This is very young, big, and lovely. Fabulous, with raspberries, and heat.
