Bottled 2011. Slightly cloudy and full of fine particulate, the colour of golden syrup. Opaque. Slightly oxidised nose, harsh and a touch astringent. Thick in texture on the palate but initially empty of flavour; air brings out a lovely brown sugar and date flavour. There is enough acidity to provide a good balance but not enough to distract from the date tones. Gentle and flavoursome date finish and a great length. Much better on the palate than the nose would lead you to anticipate. 87/100.

70% opacity, cloudy, brown. Soft toffee on the nose. Sweet sugary entry, very candied.
