A few of us gathered in the B&F to do the obvious, sighted. Perhaps a photograph of the glasses will be used on the cover of The Book.

RP00. Dark red, 90% opaque. Palate of chunky plums. Sweet, with lovely balance. Not as big as it should be at this age, so not a Port for the ages. But good drinking now, and will be at peak in about a decade. Fine drinking, even if a notch below Grade-A. Accumulate.

Dark ruby in colour. Still too young, but very smooth, full flavour, with soft tannins and good flavour.
Rating: g+

Deep red with a medium rim. Limited nose with a little soft fruit showing. Rounded fruit, soft and gentle on the palate with tannins coming through on the mid-palate. Beautifully balanced, soft and ripe. Slightly harsh on the aftertaste with a lack of balance - very clearly shut down and in a dumb phase but with lots of potential. 85/100. Decanted 15 hours.
