1985 Kopke Colheita (bottled 2015)

Drunk at Quevedo's Quinta Santa Rosario with Oscar and Claudia Quevedo and Christian Gollnick. Bottled 2015. Much paler in colour than the Dalva 1985 colheita shown alongside this bottle, almost a salmon pink and only 20% opaque. Very little on the nose other some mild VA but on the palate this shows lovely nuanced honey and flower flavours. The palate develops a little more depth but remains elegant and focused around honey flavours. Honey essence and a hint of beeswax on the gentle but persistent finish. 90/100. Drunk 28-Sep-16.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
