Chosen from the wine list of the Traveller's Club @ £64.50, much to the concern of the Sommelier who seemed to think there was none in the cellar. Happily, there was. A lovely dark and dusty cherry on the palate, with sweet fruit given an elegant balance by the acidity and a ghost of coal-dust tannins. This made lovely drinking, but will be better in the future. There was debate about the longevity of the wine given the lack of tannic load, but I am conveinced that the acidity will see the port through to the long term. 88/100. Drunk 23-Jan-17. Decanted 1 hour.
