NV Quinta do Noval Tawny 20YO (bottled 2015)

Bottled 2015. Burnt ochre colour with a hint of green on the almost colourless rim; 20% opaque. Strawberry jam and pistachio paste on the nose, interesting and attractive. A nice, smooth texture on entry with the palate filling flavours dominated by Turkish Delight and pistachio nuts before a lovely caramel undertone at the end of the palate. Sweet honey and caramel aftertaste and a honey dominated finish. A real step up from the 10yo. 89/100. Drunk 13-Feb-17.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
