TV67. Bright red, 40% opaque. No fruit, but sweeter than the BBR bottling, and very candied. Also dry late palate.

TV67 - Oporto, 1970
Eye: ruby red, clear and brillant
Nose: complex nose, alcohol
Mouth: medium body, smooth acidity, medium round tannins, very elegant and good balance, medium long finish
Score: 92+, liked this more than the BBR ... Very nice example of the vintage 1967

30% opacity, warm red, orange rim. Just slightly more red in colour than the BBR bottling alongside. Nose of dried red fruits. Gentle heat along the palate. Dried fruit - cranberries.

Only slightly preferred versus the BBR bottling. Just a smidgen more fruit and liveliness.

Bottled in Oporto in 1970. A mature bronze colour, lighter in tone than many other of the 1967 ports tasted at this event; 50% opaque. A lovely nose of spiced mature redcurrant fruit, slightly harsh but very attractive. Rounded entry, full of fruit delivering an enjoyable balanced mouthfeel; delicious and with great development of flavours over the palate. Wonderful spiced and aromatic fruit on the aftertaste and a great finish with ghosts of green tannins echoing in the distance. A lovely port. 93/100. Decanted 6 hours.
