Br67 colheita, quickly tasted away from the main table as a I rushed to the door. Nose of oranges. Palate also with oranges; lovely very full Port.

My favourite from the four colheitas on the evening.

Bottled 2016. The colour of treacle, 20% opaque. Gentle and perfumed brown sugar on the nose. A first impression on the palate of a nicely balanced port with a significant dose of acidity lying under the fragrant toffee and caramel. Lots of sweet apple juice, full of the flavours of slightly bruised apples. A glowing aftertaste; lots of wonderful caramelised sugar and flower perfume right through the to finish. This is a pleasant — if slightly sticky — port. 87/100.
Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.

2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports.
