Deep red with a wide rim. Fresh and youthful nose full of sour raspberry and redcurrant. Silky texture in the mouth with soft fruit that wraps around the tongue; the tannins are plentiful and generous. Great acidity keeps the whole port in balance. A lingering raspberry finish shows where the fruit and structure combine well and delivers a long and persistent taste. A lovely LBV. 90/100. 24-May-17.
