Tasted at a Blind Emergency on 1st August 2017.
Warm brick colour, 50% opaque. Delicious warm fruit on the nose, baked rapberries which smell delicious and slightly spiced. Sweet, fruity and slightly caramelised on entry. Lots of fruit on the mid-palate, fruit which is ripe and mature. A wonderful texture which is slightly thick. Fruity yet also flowery and full of licorice on the finish. A great length and a great finish. This is one of the best bottles of Martinez 1985 I have ever tasted: fragrant, elegant and delightful drinking. 93/100. 01-Aug-17.

1985 Martinez
Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.
2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports.

Mz85. Dark red, 70% opaque. Big; black pepper behind; big sticky plums. Needs another decade.
