Phil, the fact that you're up for these dates is a relievingly positive sign and so yes, I'm available on either date, irrespective of theme. I've been looking forward to the long awaited Ca vertical for some time but maybe given the likely number of attendees maybe it's worth keeping this one dry until the New Year (he's says rather reluctantly)? I'd be happy with a simply 'bring a bottle'.

I hope I could make either of these dates (but would need to confirm nearer that I have Zac care)... and would be happy with any theme, including an early ‘69 mini horizontal if you fancy Phil. If it were to be Calem, I would need to adopt but otherwise happy to bring a bottle to share.

I'm unlikely to be available on either evening, but there is a very small possibility that I would be available on the 29th.

Yes please.

Of course you meant “Cálem” and “Cá[F]YY”.

Indeed, though more a deferral than progress on the issue.

I've been looking forward to it for a long time also, hence the saved bottles which I'm keen to taste and enjoy with friends. As we already have 6+, and given potential future limitations, I'm highly inclined to go for it.

I've checked with B&F, and both Red and Green rooms are currently available on both nights, so I'll leave it another day or so in case of further interest before making the decision on date.

Put me down..

Could add the Calem 94 to the bottles already noted, also the Foz 58 and Foz 63..

..and then there's my stash of Calem 35 in Champagne bottles

We are booked for the Wed 29th, currently nominally in green room (as there are only seven/eight of us) but will be in red if there is no other booking in the interim, or if our numbers increase and red is still available.

I currently propose we will have at least the following: 60, 63, 63(Foz), 70, 70(Foz), 77, 83, 85
That would give us eight bottles across 7/8 people. I would be more than happy to add the additional three Foz vintages (58, 66, 80) and/or the '35, if people would like (since we are unlikely to do another Calem vertical) or if we have any additional people attending.

I'm not likely to know whether I can attend until the day before, or possibly on the Monday. However, I'd love to attend if I can since I have never tasted the Foz '58 or '80 or the Calem '83. Please make sure there is a spare space!

If you're happy to, please do.

I've made the executive decision to include the CáF58, CáF66 and CáF80, and made a nominal assignment for who to bring what and adoptions; any objections please let me know.

Also please let me know food order by the end of the week (from the usual menu).

Was pondering how to respond to your proposal as one hand I would love as full a vertical as possible but on the other, the lack of participants potentially compromised this. However, as soon as I saw AHB's response I knew which way the pendulum would swing and so happy with this Executive decision :D Shame though we don't have a few more people willing to be counted...

Excellent decision, can I suggest we move to the Red room if possible as with this line up the green room will be tight.

Please confirm that Wolfgang is bringing Cá85 instead of Tony. Please also confirm that Wolfgang is bringing Cá85 rather than CáF85.

And WPS hasn’t read the new menu. Order interpreted as Duck liver pâté; Rib eye steak (240g aged for 28 days) with hand cut chips, Medium-Rare.

uups! I did not read the menu but read the christmas menu yesterday and assumed Sirloin is also on offer.....
Anyway your interpretation was correct! Also please do not forget the peppercorn sauce!

Just checked the bt again to be sure, it is a Calem VP 1985. Is there also a CaF 85?

Confirming both. I am not aware of the existence of any Foz from '85.

I will be following up with emails to all tomorrow to confirm bottles being brought, adoptions, and to chase outstanding food orders, in case any attendees haven't seen recent posts.

We could add the '35 for around £25/head if wanted (and the '87 probably for less than an extra fiver, though I haven't checked with CPR to confirm). We are currently 11 bottles, with 8/9 people (depending whether Alex can attend or not). Do people want to include the additional vintage(s), '35 and/or '87 ?

If we were to include an additional bottle, personally, I would prefer the 87 rather than the 35, being more in keeping with the line-up.

Cálem vertical so unusual that I favour the extra. Preferred the ’35; would agree with ’87 if that the consensus.
