An ex-cellar bottle from December 2008.

Mature red colour, 50% opaque. Sealed with a cork branded "Cockburn Crusted 1977". Modest nose with some fruit and wine gums but overall a little harsh. A lovely texture on the palate, with some thickness but mostly driven by an impression of rich and sweet fruit. The late palate shows concentrated fruit flavours, good acidity and even some hints of tannins. Rich and round on the late palate. There is a wonderful explosion of spiced fruit on the aftertaste, then a lovely bitter orange finish of good length. This is lovely port. 92/100. 19-Dec-17. Decanted 5 hours.

20% opacity, warm red. Rich nose, christmas cake. Lovely rich mouthfeel, great sweet red fruit flavours - cranberries. Super balance and structure.

Ck77: pink-red, opacity not noted. Very dry. Is this drying out? But long.
