Darker than the Fonseca tasted alongside this port. This is a depp shade of red, but with no brick tone; 70% opaque. Not much on the nose, little showing. Subdued palate on entry but air builds up the flavours until the mid and late palates are powerful and balanced until it eventually turns into a big mouthful. Rich, sweet and fruity aftertaste and finish — the finish is amazing. Big and concentrated, this needed a much longer decant. 86/100. 19-Dec-17. Decanted 6½ hours.

45$ opacity, rich ruby red. Youthful, powerful, big plum fruits and some leathery notes. Great acidity and strong tannins. Superb port.

T77: dark red, 60% opaque. Nose of “farmyard”. Palate noted only as “simple” — like the TN, arguably!
