2015 Quinta do Vale Dona Maria

6,000 bottles produced. Deep red colour with a narrow rim. Fresh on the nose bringing ripe purple plums and early Autumn mornings. Smooth entry, with ripe and sweet fruit, opulent but slightly haughty. Fine gentle tannins grip under the fruit. A very rich and complete mouthful, nicely balanced and drinking beautifully while young. Another good example of the "pretty" vintage. 89-91/100. 06-Nov-17.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
