Tasting
Quinta do Vesuvio Presentation Box ‘ Tasting in a Box’
Box number 68 of 240.

Vintages 89, 90, 91, 92, 94, 95, 96 and 97.
9 Attendees (Admin issue DRT had been missed off before list closed!) Currently operating a reserve list due to number of wines in the box.

As a control test there will also be a Magnum of the legendary 2006 Quinta do Vesuvio which was foot trodden by 3 of the attendees! It also happens to be my sons Christening Port.

No charge for the Port - Standard Food Procedures.

Christopher has an 8 bottle case of Vesuvio (vintages 89 onwards) he would very generously like to share with us.
The proposal is to set the bar at 8 attendees (by coincidence we have 8 confirmed) and hand over to Christopher

Food order done if a little late due to email issue.
I will endeavour to work out how to print off the tasting sheets at work.
Port - got it. Need to buy some filter paper.
Aim to be there for 3pm to start in decanting, can anyone let me know if they will be able to get there a bit earlier to help. No worries if not.
2006 Magnum decanted last night- all in order.

I can get there for about 16:30. 3pm is quite early if only 8 bottles to be decanted? I can stop by the office and print the placemats if needed, just let me know. I'll bring a few funnels and filter cloth.

Alex will be there from around 2.30 so I think we are good. Agreed re timing being early- we may need to drink a bottle of port of the list prior to the tasting! You are most welcome to join us when free.

Pouring around 5 ish so works well.
Tasting sheets all done!
