Clear rim of faded orange-red. Slightly opaque. Allspice and pepper comes through on nose. A very subtle Port with a lovely soft finish with a candy profile. 92 points

Fabulous nose on the Vesuvio 1991 -- smoke and vegetation and fruit, bold and intriguing. Shame that "fabulous" didn't carry through to the mouth, where it tastes like it smells: smoke, celery, red bell pepper and a bit of cherry. 92 for its nose, 88 overall.
