Unknown UK bottler. Polished redwood colour, 30% opaque. Soapy dried redcurrants on the nose, mature and evolved. Soft entry, sweet and lacking some focus. Dirty fruit with lots of sous bois and bruised apples. The mid-palate pulls into better focus with the acidity coming through and providing some balance. Hot on the aftertaste with a chewy finish on the cheeks. A little bland initially, this wine develops a nice bitter citrus. 86/100.
