G63, decanted 08:00. Brown, 30% opaque. Palate dry, and touched by varnish. Long, but very dry.

25% opacity, red orange. Smooth, soft, nice balance, concentrated oranges.

Pale bronze in colour, 20% opaque. Another Port with a slightly soapy nose, showing very little else. The texture on the palate is lovely, thick and rounded. Slow to deliver its flavours, but the intensity of the mid-palate is huge and the late palate has fabulous complexity with lots of dried and concentrated fruit. An amazing aftertaste that is so intense and full of flavour precedes a finish which morphs from one layer of flavour to the next. Such a shame this is so closed on the nose. 90/100.

The varying tasting notes would suggest to me inadequately rinsed glasses in some cases.
