Glasses, continued

So I was thinking more about the glasses thread, and thought perhaps I'd see where people stood on the glass preference (for Port). I started with a selection from my cabinet of some unadorned representatives of different sizes/shapes. I haven't any stemless Riedel, but I've added it to the poll for those who prefer it. (750 bottle for size reference, port glass is from Ferreira :) )

From left to right (then "other")

I voted "other" as I prefer the Riedel vinum port glass, which wasn't one of the ones on your list.

What AHB really means is

"I prefer to drink my port from a Riedel Vinum Port Glass which is kept in its own ittle wooden box and carried with me everywhere I go"

But don't let anyone ever tell you he's a Geek

This comment coming from the man who prints his own labels for bottles he acquires that are just bare glass!

Great - two Port obsessives claiming the other is a geek. Apparently, Mussolini reckoned Hitler was a bit of a Fascist.

OK, this was a useful post, next bottle I open i'm spreading across some of those glasses (and maybe a riedel) and comparing. I may have been too harsh on the establishment.
