65% opacity, very dark red. Molasses on the nose. Lovely rich entry, full mouthfeel, gentle tannins, rich dark fruit, pepper, molasses.

A lovely brick-red colour, 90% opaque at the centre. Lots of sludge decanted out of the bottle, surprisingly, more than any of the older Ports. Little showing on the nose, just a bit of sweet red fruit. The fruit on entry is sweet and embracing with a poise and elegance but giving way to a delightful grip on the mid-palate. Lots of flower perfume and complexity show up giving a great experience. There is a little harshness on the aftertaste before a warm and very fruity finish settles in with a good length. This is a nicely bodied Port with a good depth. 89/100. Decanted 4 hours.
