Shipped by Skeffington. A lovely rich red colour, still opaque in the centre but looking to be in early maturity. Fresh concentrated blackcurrants on the nose, developed and very attractive. An amazingly smooth texture on entry with concentrated blackcurrant, rich firm tannins and an acidity that carries such a great structure. Bigger and richer on the late palate, but with even more black fruit! An explosion of dry blackcurrant leads a massive aftertaste. A brilliant Port, one which highlights just how good this vintage was. 94/100. Decanted 4½ hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
