Some chocolate alongside plum on the delightfully full aroma. Plum dominates the palate alongside other dark fruits and yet more dark chocolate. Maybe the aroma promises more depth than I'm getting in the taste, but this is enjoyable drinking. V good.

Tasted blind. Mid red in colour with a modest nose that shows very little. Mid weight on entry with an elegant palate but a high toned edge to the fruit. Lots of tannins but not with the brutality of some of the other 2017 Ports being tasted at this evening - more of a balanced style. Nice light acidity dances on the palate and supports a flavoursome and lingering red liquorice finish that is very, very long. A great youthful Port with a lovely elegance to it. 91-93/100.
