B1: A lovely citrusy sweet top note to its mixed red/black fruits. Supple, fruit driven. A good early drinking prospect. A balanced ripeness and attractive already. [Noval. Quite similar in some ways to the 16, although more a stone fruit/apricot top note in the 16).

Red cherries on the nose, more cherries (black) on the palate. Eucalyptus and spice in the mix and an enjoyable finish. V good

(Tasted sighted) Deep crimson, expressive floral nose of blackcurrant a little spice on the nose (black pepper). A little eucaluptus adds to complexity. Rich full bodied wine with fruit driven notes. A little alcohol but not unbalanced. Good strong finish. Very good. 95+

Tasted blind. Deep red colour with a big nose full of very perfumed fruit. Soft and languid entry with sweet and gentle fruit that is in no hurry to show what it can deliver. The dry and fine grained tannins give a beautiful balance to the wine and manage the trick of being elegant in their own right. The fruit is delicious, a highlight of the lingering loganberry aftertaste. This is a very complete Port with all the components in harmony. 92-94/100 might be rather underscoring.
