Victoria: The Queen, Julia Baird: “Queen Victoria was born, roaring, at 4:15 ᴀ.ᴍ., in the hour before dawn on May 24, 1819”.
The time convenient to us that is closest to the two hundredth anniversary of that would be the evening of Thursday 23
rd May 2019.
And we did.

W70. Dark dark red, 60% opaque. White pepper, heat, red plum; lovely.

Mature red colour, 50% opaque. Limited on the nose, surprisingly restrained. Soft strawberry fruit on the palate with gentle tannins and rich, ripe fruit. Cigar and tobacco on the aftertaste with a soft, dry finish of cranberry jelly. Still young, sweet with rich and mouth-filling flavours. 90/100.
