The time convenient to us that is closest to the two hundredth anniversary of that would be the evening of Thursday 23rd May 2019.
And we did.

Mature red colour, 70% opaque. Very little on the nose, some faint and soft red jelly. A lovely smooth texture in the mouth, bringing sweet fruit which is full of flavour; rich and luscious with great layering of flavour. A wonderful mature redcurrant finish. This is a fabulous Port; full, rich ad wonderfully flavoursome yet with plenty of life ahead of it. (A late release bottle, ex-cellars in 2009.) 94/100.
