Still a lovely rich garnet. Full of red-fruited life in the mouth, with spice and coffee on the finish. This is really very nice port indeed, either rather richer than many from this house or just with excellent balance. Consumed with AHB, CPR, THRA, and guest OJW on 07/10/19 at the B&F.

Gentle elegant mature red colour, 30% opaque. Delicious mature sweet fruit on the nose, floral and full of sweet raspberry with an amazing tobacco overtone. Smooth and elegant entry, floral and bringing lots of redcurrant jelly on a palate with a lovely balance. Lots of acidity keeps the Port fresh and nicely focused. Sweet, slightly herbaceous and very floral on the late palate. The floral elements dominate the long and lingering finish. Very tasty. Served blind, this was guessed to be Kopke São Luiz 1970. 91/100. Tasted 07-Oct-19. Decanted 2½ hours.

Tasted as part of a Bring a Bottle tasting at the Boot & Flogger.
