Opened 1900, decanted 2100. Supremely aromatic. A remarkable amount- two full dessert-spoons- of what is not so much sediment as sludge. Appears to be on good form.

G91. Glorious red, 50% opaque. Full bodied and red fruited, slightly closed, some menthol and violets. I like the weight, but it's slightly closed as if needing more time in the cellar. Liked.

I bought a case of this more than a decade ago. It sounds like I drunk six of them by mistake.

60% opaque, dark red wine. Dark fruits, juicily pleasant on the palate, with some prunes. Quite good.

Medium colour, with not much on the nose. Quite nice in the mouth - some fruit and soft tannin. OK.

Deep red colour, slightly cloudy; opaque centre but looking to be mature and ready for drinking. Rather closed on the nose, showing to be a little astringent - perhaps with a hint of VA? Smooth stewed blackcurrants show on entry, with gentle cocoa tannins. There is plenty of bright fruit but not much complexity - generous blackcurrant, but quite monolithic. There are some dry edges to the aftertaste with plenty of stewed prune. The dry cocoa length is very long. 89/100.
