The book has a chapter Vintage Reviews, in which I wrote, p601,
1991s are junior to the 1992s. Insufficiently tasted to say more.

In 2019 George organised an excellent tasting of 1991s, after which any opinion was less uninformed.

Then:

We need a 1992 horizontal, and the chosen date is Tuesday 12th May 2020.

What 1992s do likely attendees have? I have none, so need to adopt. Others might be in the same position. Please list which 1992s you’d be willing to make available.

Hi Tom,

Happy the SWC 92 to be opened on this occasion. If we ever come round to try the 91 along side I should find another bt. Otherwise I am fairly light on 92s. Not sur but some Bonfim and Niepoort come to mind.

Mike is the fourteenth. Likely as not a small number of reserves would get promoted, so a reserve list has been started.

Please could those who haven’t post lists of bottles.

Easily on hand I have: Canais and Vesuvio

In storage and therefore I'd prefer not to contribute are the following: Bomfim and Eira Velha

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

Can I just confirm whether this is going ahead and whether you will be pre ordering?

We always pre-order if there are more than a few of us. But it feels rather early, perhaps even very early, to be pre-ordering 104 days in advance. When do you want us to pre-order?
Kate wrote:Thank you for confirming the 12th of May. I’ve just returned to the reservations role and I seem to have a lot of provisional Port Forum bookings, so I’m trying to establish which ones are going ahead.

There is of course no need to pre order now. 2 weeks in advance will suffice.

Agree that next year would be the obvious time for a '92 tasting - not that we couldn't have more than one ofc, but I suspect we will have quite a few others we might also like to have this year if we are able.

There were two industry guests. The one I had invited hadn’t replied, so has been ejected. The one AHB invited is now the Industry Guest. Meaning that MPM has been promoted from the reserves to become an attendee.
