That was precisely my reaction when I noticed it on the shelf
I picked-up 6 because I was with Jo shopping for Mothers Day flowers and we were late for dinner at her Mother's house. My route to work tomorrow morning is likely to pass at least 3 Sainsbury's stores

It's 7:40. The first Sainsbury's had no Malvedos '96 on the shelves (and no discount tags) and the second had lots of bottles on the shelf but no discounts.
One more shop to try on the way to work.

Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
It seems so. I went back to the store I got them from yesterday and they were sold out. The ticket was still on the self saying "50% Off While Stock Lasts"
Sorry for the wild goose chase Alex.

Oh my goodness! I bought a case last week for 31,50 ┚¬/24 GBP the bottle and I thought it was a fair deal. For this price I certainly would have bought them all. In continental Europe it's quite hard to find a very good LBV for this price. Any other shocking news for us from port haeven?
We need to work toward the establishment of trans-atlantic silly season. Port so rarely dips below $35-40/bottle here, and generally its in the $60+ range.

There definitely are, what are you looking for?
I'm always on the look out and you can indeed from some really good 35-40$ bottles, or even LBV's that go down 20-30 range
Visited my fourth shop on the way home today. No discounted Malvedos but I did manage to pick up a heavily discounted bottle of Yquem 1997 so the trip wasn't a waste.

These days I'm trying to get a few more from the 80s, but i am tempted by good prices of any vintage There's a shop near me (in westchester) that has a yearly port sale, and I've a discount at another good shop on the other side of the county. However what I'd like to find is a NYC shop with more variety (and ideally good prices). I've seen good listings from Sherry & Lehman, but haven't gotten over there yet. Recently I've been aiming for bargains on the auction sites, but shipping wipes out much of the savings.
