Mike and George are obviously Warre fans with seven Ports receiving scores or HMs each! Sounds like a great tasting… not jealous at all.

It was a great tasting, in many ways.

(i) It was lovely to see everyone including some faces new to me

(ii) The run of 55, 58, 60, 63, 66, 70 was the strongest run of six consecutive vintages of mature port from one house I think I have ever tasted. I would be proud to serve a bottle (in equivalent condition) of any one of them at the end of the grandest dinner party.

(iii) The 22, 58 and 63 were each the best ports (well, those most to my taste) I have ever tasted from those vintages.

(iv) I really like the style of Warre.

Many of these comments should go in the Review thread.

Julian - btw, the 77 ended up being a magnum rather than a Tappit Hen.

Julian is right. Please could one of the administrative forces transfer all post-dinner posts to the review thread (and then delete this post)?

A very pleasant evening - great to meet old friends again after what seems like such an age..

Gentle nudge for Ian.

Thank you to George and Charles.
