50% opaque red juice. Full rich port with liquorice and chocolate notes. Spicy finish. Discernibly related to the Vargellas 1995 tasted alongside but, also, discernibly the better wine. My first taste of TVVV! Tasted blind at B&F 9 January 2020. Courtesy CPR.

50% opacity, dull red. Red fruits, cranberries. Gentle heat and tannin along the palate. Dusty fruit, cranberries. Chewy.

Opened at 22.00, decanted at 07.00 and tasted at 19.15. An attractive brick-red colour, opaque at the centre with a wide rim. Youthful and vigorous on the nose, a little aggressive and harsh. Smoother on the palate than anticipated from the nose; lots of sweet redcurrant with a nice fruit base. A lovely, illuminating aftertaste, full of fruit and with a delightful buoyancy to it. The lingering rhubarb and redcurrant slowly fades while the soft tannins dance on the edges of the tongue and cheeks. A very interesting Port with great flavours - a Port which is young, but not that young. Served blind this was guessed to be Marks & Spencer 2007. Thank you Charles - my first taste of a mature TVVV. 88/100. Tasted 09-Jan-20. Decanted 12 hours.
