Dark red, very youthful appearance, 95% opaque. Lots of dark cherry on the nose, sweet and fruity. Semi-mature fruit on entry with lots of black cherry on the mid-palate. Gently mature giving a wonderful mouthful of fruit. Soft tannins and a lovely structure back up this fruit with hints of dark chocolate in with the black cherries. Youthful, nicely balanced but very hot on the aftertaste and rather sweet. Needs time to gain in confidence. Served blind, this was guessed to be Gould Campbell 2003! 89/100. Tasted 05-Feb-20. Decanted 5½ hours.
