More than happy to accept although unable to offer any TTF or TV from those particular vintages.

I will likewise need to adopt btw, if I didn't say so previously (the only TTF/TV I have to hand is TV69).

Have enquired via C&B about availabilty of the TTF2019, and it has been confirmed that it isn't going to be released until much later. The Taylor's press release suggests 2029/2030 - https://www.taylor.pt/en/news/taylors-t ... tage-ports.

As a follow-up to the enquiry they've offered some TTF2005 at £110/6 in bond (which works out something like £25/bt all in - comparable to Majestic who are currently knocking it out at £30). If this is of interest to anyone let me know and I'll forward the details.

Having cogitated, might I suggest we add in TV 87, 91, 95, 01? I have 91 but not the others.

I regret that despite my best efforts to be able to attend, I am going to have to drop out of this tasting. My diary is getting a little congested over the rest of this year and something has to give.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

@ AHB - I am sorry you cannot make it, but agree that one must husband one's social energies

@ rich_n - you're in if you want it. I think I have the TTF 1986 for you to adopt, I'll check this weekend

I have added in a request for some TVs. I have TV1991 and nac has TV2001. The TV1987 and TV1995 would be appreciated if anyone has them.
...
Charles has previously offered:

Perhaps I could adopt the TV1995 from Charles?

@GEAG - I think it might be difficult to find the TV87. There was only a single confirmed sighting for the TV vertical next year, and I suspect it might be being held back for that tasting. How about the 2005 instead? That’s readily available.

A&M have half a dozen TV87 listed at £78/bt inc, depending how keen you are on that specific wine.

What Ho. Good spot Phil, thank you. I have asked Richard B to sell them to me. Simon, if/when I get them, happy to release one to you. I am quite keen on that specific wine for comparison at this tasting.

I also notice that ND John in Swansea has the TV 2008 and so if we wish to undertake a further comparison, I’m due to be in Swansea in a couple of weeks time and so could pick one up then if required?

Could I please suggest aiming for an early, or at least a prompt, start?
As there is currently another train strike planned for the following day, staying over after the tasting is no longer practicable, and I and perhaps others will therefore have to leave early to ensure we can get home before the strike begins at midnight.

I am still intending to come to this tasting but as Phil suggests I will be leaving early (before 9pm) to catch my last train from Waterloo which is at 21.30 as I can’t get back the following day due to the strike. I may also skip dinner as a result.
