Anyone who would like to take part in a proper online tasting please send me an email with your address and I will send you a sample bottle containing some Port planned to arrive a day or two before 30th June. Those who sent me their addresses on Tuesday do not need to do so again but anyone else who would like to take part, please do as this list will act as my checklist.

I'll ask for a contribution to cover the costs of postage, which I estimate will be about £5 in the UK or $10 outside the UK.

I'm nearing the end of my young LBV tasting horizontal-ish (give or take 2 years) . Will likely open a Fonseca 2014 LBV.

I am vacillating between a Kopke Colheita 1977 and a Churchill 1982. Either of them will have to really outperform to come close to last week's C&B bottling of Warre 1970.

I’m leaning towards something from the ’80s. Maybe a GC or a T.

Plan is to finally get into a Sandeman 2015 LBV.

Recently acquired a case of Noval 1985. Think the time has come for the first bottle to be sacrificed on the altar of the vinous gods.

There arrived yesterday my Port, labelled “Dow 1878”. Fantastic, thank you. Looking very dark for its age, perhaps reminiscent of the Mk55. Please do send a picture of the cork and bottle.
