Tasted on 30/07/20 as part of the Quevedo white port tasting hosted by Oscar Quevedo, the BFT and VWP.

Definitely darker than the previous reserves and 10YO maybe 25% opacity. The nose is more perfumed than the 10YO with a strong inclination for raisins and currents. If I was blind, probably would have said a tawny. In the mouth, its a smooth, sophisticated port with a hearty nuttiness to boot. It is however incredibly delicate and perhaps not as big as I would like. The food pairing suggested having some chocolate and nuts to have with it. I had this with chocolate which quickly overpowered the port (Rich believes otherwise, YMMV).

A solid 30YO white. 16/20.

Notes: Average age: 38 to 40 years. Definitely brown in colour rather than amber. More similar to the reserve white than the 10-year-old on the nose: very reserved and with little fruit. In the mouth, the immediate hit is very austere and not to my tastes. It then opens up to lovely caramel with a very long aftertaste. But the austerity is problematic for me.
