Hi Brian; could you give us an idea of your rough location?
Also it would be helpful to know the level of the wine in the bottle (i.e. with bottles stood upright, is the level of the wine above or below the join of the main bottle body and the neck, and by roughly how much.
Cheers (and welcome to TPF).

Thanks for the welcome and response.
I live in Durham England UK.
One bottle has it level with the neck and bottle juntion.
The other is about 30mm above that junction filling into the neck.
Hope that is helpful.

Brian - could you say how you acquired the bottles please?
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

Yes of course.
Won a lot (the two bottles) from my local antiques auction house in Boldon, some 15 miles from where I live.
Do you need to what I paid?

@ Brian, I would be interested in acquiring these if (i) the price is right and (ii) you would be willing to package them up very carefully (copious layers of bubble wrap inside rigid carboard box) and send them by recorded delivery post. PM me with your best price if so.
