Hint of garrigue, plus some not-too-sweet boiled sweet, on the nose. Congruent palate, hybrid of herbal liqueur and a old fashioned cough sweet. Also some rose hip on the finish. 'Granny's patent medicine' commented my co-taster, 'and very nice too'.

More cherries on the nose, the herbs having faded. Palate dusty cherries. The alcohol is concentrating. Drying out on the finish. More fiery than herby.

Possibly darkened a little. More prune on the nose. Hint of walnut. Palate a big rich wash of much darker fruits, pruneaux fourees d'Agen prominent. A hint of spirit, separately from the fruit. Long warming finish. Very attractive, but a little mushy round the edges. Over-decanted now, perhaps.

Consumed, with co-taster, 27/11/20 & 28/11/20
