2000 Sainsbury TTD
Symingtons Estates.

PnP
Deep purple and entirely opaque. Red fruits dominate the nose, redcurrants and strawberries. Similarly fruity on the palate with some eucalyptus notes, but nothing much more complex than that yet. A touch of peppery spice in the finish.

More muted nose, less fruit on the palate. Redcurrant dominates the fruit side but this is now more balanced across the flavours. There's a punchy pepper spice in the front palate with eucalyptus coming in further on. Drying. Not a long finish. Decent without being impressive.

During the evening, I'm finding some toffee is coming through, which is adding some additional enjoyment.

Beautifully soft now. The fruit is more in the background, with caramel, chocolate and gentle pepper. This might just have some longer term legs, I'll be intrigued to see how goes over there next 5-10 years. Good.

How do you rate the value for money @ £20 per bottle?

I enjoyed the wine but wasn't blown away by it, I think it was reasonable value for money at £20 but I don't know that I'd be rushing out to buy huge amounts more at the price (I think I have another 5 bottles or so in the cellar). Maybe in 10 years I'll regret that decision if it evolves in a positive direction.
